"Jonathan Akai has long been a lover of books. Ever since he was a child, he found that the magic and imagination of words created a reality and impression worth the stuff of both modern and classical storytelling. Born and raised in Accra, Ghana. He grew up in a heavily theistic family. As a child, he first enjoyed the poetry and canticles from the Methodist Hymn Book and then eventually found love in the fantastic genre of books from folktales heard as a child. He studied English and Classics at the University of Cape Coast and enjoys reading, photography and listening to eclectic music when he is not writing."
